[Codex Black - Character designs #9]

It's tricky to find balance between body markings and the clothing, in a way that the design doesn't look too busy. Nice work.

Thanks! Indeed, that's why I went for a simpler design for their clothes. A more accurate depiction of Huastec characters would have them topless or completely naked, since the tattoos were considered "clothing" in a sense. But since these are for a published book series, I won't be able to get away with that. Still, tattoos over the entire body were extremely common among them, so I had to include them.

That's a quality I focus on... As this was designed to be fast and quick I try I focused. Nothing will top " Another Liminal Space ". This background would be good for a desktop though.
