On the topic of Krita, I can personally recommend Vasco Basqué's Krita Watercolor Set, if you haven't heard of it. It has some nice brushes that you can mix around for interesting results.

It's tricky to find balance between body markings and the clothing, in a way that the design doesn't look too busy. Nice work.
Thanks! Indeed, that's why I went for a simpler design for their clothes. A more accurate depiction of Huastec characters would have them topless or completely naked, since the tattoos were considered "clothing" in a sense. But since these are for a published book series, I won't be able to get away with that. Still, tattoos over the entire body were extremely common among them, so I had to include them.
Looks great.
Well, he certainly doesn't look Leo, Tiga, or Powered. :P
Reminds me Midgar.
Cute cyclops.
Your background art has this dream-like feel about it.
That's a quality I focus on... As this was designed to be fast and quick I try I focused. Nothing will top " Another Liminal Space ". This background would be good for a desktop though.
I didn't realized you had a Newgrounds page. I always found your artstyle to be quite appealing.
Both variants look great.
thanks :)
Cool linework.
